Richard Urban to Speak at the Concerned Women for America Meeting on May 17
Richard will speak at the Concerned Women for America meeting in Martinsburg, WV on May 17 at 10:30 a.m. on the topic Strengthening Families and Communities; Helping Youth Succeed.
Richard writes: "As of 2021, 40% of births in the United States were outside of marriage. However, this does not tell the whole story. For white women, the rate of out of wedlock birth is 28%, for Hispanic women, 53% and for black women 70% (https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/unmarried-childbearing.htm). Arguably, this is the greatest factor causing racial disparities in child welfare and overall family well-being. To break the generational cycle of outside of wedlock birth, we need a revolution of abstinence-centered education. "

West Virginia requires 26 doses of 11 vaccines for school attendance. Governor Morrisey has given an Executive Order that religious exemptions will now be given, but conflicted West Virginia House Representatives failed to codify this into law.

Urban Life Training Chapter Starting in Jefferson County, WV
Urban Life Training co-founders Richard and Stacey Urban met over the past three months with multiple Jefferson County, West Virginia residents to plan the formation of the Eastern Panhandle Chapter of Urban Life Training.
Richard states "There is a real need to give youth and young adults factual information and guidance that helps them to navigate the critical issues of sexuality and healthy relationships. It is really a type of abuse when we deprive young people of this critical information. Every youth deserves to hear about the many benefits of abstaining from all types of sexual relationships prior to marriage, as well as abstaining from drugs and alcohol".
